Based on the 1954 play by Dylan Thomas, it tells the story of a day in the life of a small, Welsh fishing village called "Llareggub" (Buggerall spelt backwards) with a host of curious characters seen through the eyes of Captain Tom Cat played by Peter O’Toole.
