The Shakespeare Theatre Company’s production of Moliere’s The Imaginary Invalid was directed by Keith Baxter and starred Rene Auberjonois as hypochondriac Argan along with Nancy Robinette as Toinette.
Argan wants his daughter to marry a doctor so he can save on his medical bills. But she's in love with someone else. Soon the whole household joins in her madcap scheme to save true love and give Argan's doctors a dose of their own medicine.
Peter Land played Beralde and Gillian staged and choreographed a show that has it all - Music! Singing! Acrobats! Ballet! The King of France! And a protagonist - who is very, very sick!
